A conversation in Spanish
Each week we get in groups of two or three, and are tasked with writing a short script in Spanish based on what we have learned so far in class. After practicing the script we record ourselves reciting it. The video for each week is posted below the summary for that week.
Part One:
For the first week, my partner, Rayna, and I, wanted to push ourselves, so we added a few phrases that hadn't been reviewed yet in class as a challenge. I feel that we did really well, considering the fact that neither of us knew more than some basic Spanish when we started this class. The challenge option worked out very well, and gave us a chance to try out some new material, and deviate from the repetitiveness of the same conversation we were learning in class. I think that if we had more time to practice it we could've done better, and we also could've challenged ourselves even further.

Part Two:
I was partnered with Marino and Aliza during the second week. We stuck to practicing the new phrases learned in class, but I feel we did really well. We practiced a lot, so everyone in my group did a good job remembering their lines. I feel that there wasn't much to improve upon, except that we could have challenged ourselves more.

Part Three:
This week I was partnered with Claire. The reason we chose each other was just because there wasn't really anyone else to partner with. We mostly practiced together, but I recited some of my lines separately and she wrote out her lines to help remember them. I feel much more comfortable with basic conversations than I did at the beginning of the semester. I am most confident in my comprehension of Spanish and verb conjugations. I don't always understand exactly what someone is saying to me, but I can recognize key words and use them to visualize what they mean.
